The Guesthouse
Nestled high in lush Paul Valley on Santo Antão, Casa Cavoquinho is a charming, eco-conscious guesthouse run by hosts José and Belén and the caboverdian staff. With its breathtaking location, warm hospitality, and local flavors, it’s designed to enchant walkers, families, and anyone enchanted by nature.
Our Philosophy at Casa Cavoquinho
At Casa Cavoquinho, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to reducing our ecological footprint by minimizing the use of plastic and avoiding unnecessary water waste. To help cut down on single-use plastic, we offer our guests free access to a purified water system, making it easy to refill bottles throughout their stay. We also compost all kitchen and garden waste creating natural fertilizer for our plants. In addition, our greywater system filters water from the kitchen and showers, allowing us to irrigate our garden in a responsible way.
Dinner and Breakfast
Start your day at Casa Cavoquinho with a homemade breakfast full of island flavor: rich Santo Antão coffee, local goat cheese, homemade jams, fresh tropical fruits, and other local favorites that energize and inspire.
And after a day of hiking through the spectacular landscapes of Paul Valley, there’s nothing like returning to a warm, generous dinner made with care. Our dinners include a comforting soup, a fresh starter, and a flavorful main course—meat, fish, or a satisfying vegetarian option offered at no extra cost, a rare treat on the island.
Free WIFI internet available, accessible from the two terraces with stunning views over the valley. |
